You have already analyzed how convincing (or unconvincing) other writers were, now it is your turn to take what you have learned and create a rhetorically sound argument of your own. How will you establish your own credibility? What emotions do you want to invoke in your reader? What facts will you present? Will you use fallacies to ensnare your audience? In your rhetorical analysis you explicitly stated which devices your chosen author used, now you must employ those devices covertly in order to convince someone of an opposing viewpoint of why you are right.
