You had relevant examples of some of the types of collaboration involving pharmaceutical companies. Each of the examples showed the advantages of the partnerships, and how the companies involved made progress that would otherwise have been more difficult or expensive.
The consumers can benefit from these partnerships as well. They can use some of the new products to treat an illness or to resist an infection. In some cases the companies will reap large profits at the expense of the consumers, but that is an imperfection of the current system. With collaborations increasing, do you think this type of profiteering is a risk?
